Svisloch Historical and Regional Studies Museum

Founded in 1976, the museum is located in one of the oldest stone-made buildings of the city, built at the beginning of the 20th century. The exposition welcomed its first visitors on 24 August 1979. The museum collection contains about 13,000 items (2022), personal belongings and awards of the Olympic champion Yanina Karolchik,

The Exposition presents the Svisloch history. There are stone and iron-made craft tools, art objects, and materials about the Tyszkiewicz dynasty owning the town as well as Svisloch Gymnasium (the best in the Vilnya educational region). Such famous persons as Napoleon Orda, Juzef Kraszewski, Kastus Kalinowski, Josef Kowalewski graduated from there. The exposition also shows the military events that took place in our region in different periods of history: the war of 1812, the First World War and the Great Patriotic War. The exposition also reflects current topics: Svislochchiny during the Polish occupation of 1921-1939 and the genocide of the Belarusian people of 1941-1944.
Various exhibitions, thematic excursions, and lectures are offered by the museum.
